Bphlo D 0.4mg/0.5mg Capsule SR is a combination medicine used to treat symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in men. BPH is a non-cancerous enlargement of the prostate gland that causes urinary problems like difficulty starting urination, weak stream, frequent urination, or a feeling of incomplete emptying. This capsule helps to relieve such symptoms by improving urine flow and reducing the size of the enlarged prostate over time. It contains two active ingredients — tamsulosin and dutasteride — that work together for better and faster symptom control. It is not a treatment for prostate cancer.
Uses
- Treatment of Benign prostatic hyperplasia
Benefits of Bphlo D
- Improves urinary flow by relaxing the muscles around the bladder neck and prostate.
- Reduces prostate size gradually by lowering the hormone that causes it to grow.
- Relieves frequent or urgent urination, especially during the night.
- Prevents risk of complete urinary blockage when used consistently.
- Offers dual action by combining muscle relaxation and hormone control in a single capsule.
How Bphlo D works
Bphlo D contains two different types of medicines. Tamsulosin is an alpha-blocker. It relaxes smooth muscles in the prostate and bladder neck. This makes it easier for urine to pass and reduces pressure. Dutasteride is a 5-alpha-reductase inhibitor. It blocks an enzyme that converts testosterone to DHT, the hormone responsible for prostate growth. As DHT levels drop, the prostate shrinks slowly over time. This helps ease long-term urinary symptoms and reduces the chance of needing surgery. The full benefit may take several months. Taking the medicine daily at the same time improves results. Avoid missing doses for best symptom control. It should be taken consistently even if you start feeling better early.
