Ciplox 500 Tablet is used to treat or prevent certain bacterial infections. It is prescribed for pneumonia, gonorrhoea (a sexually transmitted disease), typhoid fever, infectious diarrhoea, and infections of the skin, bone, joint, abdomen, and prostate.
Uses
Ciplox-500 Tablet contains the antibiotic Ciprofloxacin, which kills bacteria that cause infections. It stops bacterial cell division and inhibits their repair, helping the body get rid of infections. Take this medicine exactly as prescribed by your doctor for the full duration of treatment.
Side Effects and Precaution
Common side effects may include nausea, diarrhoea, vomiting, rash, and abnormal liver function tests. These usually resolve over time. Consult your doctor if the side effects persist. Do not stop the medicine suddenly. Inform your doctor if you have lung disease, muscle weakness (myasthenia gravis), sleep problems (sleep apnoea), severe liver disease, or issues with alcohol or recreational drugs. Also, inform your doctor if you are planning pregnancy, are pregnant, or breastfeeding. Seek immediate medical help if you experience allergic reactions like rashes, itching, swelling, or shortness of breath.
