It belongs to the class of lipid-lowering medications, which are designed to control the amounts of fats in your bloodstream. This medicine has additional benefits as well. It can help lower the risk of heart attacks and strokes in people who have heart disease or those who are at high risk. It’s also used to reduce the need for heart surgery and manage familial heterozygous hypercholesterolemia, an inherited condition causing high cholesterol levels.

How Rosawal-EZ 10 Tablet 10 Works?Rosawal-EZ 10 Tablet contains two active ingredients:

Ezetimibe (10 mg): This component localises in your small intestine, where it works to reduce the absorption of dietary cholesterol. This means less cholesterol is delivered to your liver from your diet, reducing liver cholesterol stores and increasing the clearance of cholesterol from your blood.

Rosuvastatin (10 mg): Rosuvastatin inhibits an enzyme in your body called HMG-CoA reductase, which is crucial for making cholesterol. By blocking this enzyme, rosuvastatin helps reduce blood cholesterol levels. It also increases the number of liver LDL receptors on cell surfaces, enhancing the uptake and breakdown of LDL (“bad” cholesterol). Moreover, it inhibits the production of VLDL in your liver, reducing total VLDL and LDL particles.
