Tranawal 500 Tablet 10 is used to manage excessive bleeding due to heavy menstrual periods, nosebleeds, or bleeding after surgery. It contains tranexamic acid, which helps reduce abnormal bleeding by stabilising blood clots. It belongs to a class of medicines referred to as antifibrinolytics. This medication is also used to handle various other bleeding conditions. These include nosebleeds, bleeding during or after certain surgeries such as cervical surgery, prostate surgery, and bladder surgery, bleeding inside the eye, and hereditary angioedema.
